Clear aligners may be perfect for you. But which clear aligner brand should you choose? Here at Distinguished Dental, Dr. McIntosh and our team believe that SureSmile in Fort Worth can provide effective teeth straightening and a great overall treatment experience. We are proud to offer this service. If you are interested in learning more about it, get in touch with us today.

How SureSmile Works

When you visit us for your consultation, Dr. McIntosh, your dentist in Fort Worth, will examine your teeth and learn more about your circumstances. If it looks like SureSmile is a good fit for you, she will order your custom aligners. You’ll have to wear each aligner for 20 – 22 hours each day for approximately two weeks before you move onto the next one in your series. You’ll visit us periodically throughout your treatment time so we can monitor your progress. Once you work your way through all of your aligners, you should have a straight, confident smile.

Indications for SureSmile

SureSmile is able to correct many cases of mild to moderate types of dental misalignment. Here are a few examples of problems that it is often able to address:

Crowded Teeth

Overlapping, crowded teeth increase the risk of cavities and other problems. Fortunately, SureSmile (possibly along with extractions) can reposition your teeth so they all have the space they need to look and feel their best.

Gaps Between Teeth

In some cases, gapped teeth are a little more than an aesthetic issue, but in other cases, they present a threat to oral health. Whichever is true in your case, SureSmile may be able to move your teeth closer together and eliminate that pesky extra space.

Bite Alignment

Overbite, underbite, crossbite, and open bite are all types of malocclusion (bad bite). They can affect facial aesthetics and oral health. SureSmile, often with the help of accessories, can address many cases of bite misalignment.

How Much Does SureSmile Cost?

During your consultation, our team will be able to provide you with a cost estimate for your SureSmile treatment. It will depend on things like the number of aligners you need, whether you are straightening one dental arch or both, and other factors. In general, SureSmile costs less than some other clear aligner brands (but it still delivers top-tier quality).  Insurance sometimes covers SureSmile, and most patients are eligible for low-interest financing through a third-party lender.
